Aman Dhanda

Aman Dhanda's work experience includes serving as the Chief Engagement Officer at the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) since November 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Member Engagement and Partnerships at NASSP from April 2021 to November 2021.

Before joining NASSP, Dhanda worked at ASCD, serving as the Director of Educator Engagement from January 2019 to April 2021 and as the Senior Fellow of Educator Engagement from January 2017 to January 2019. In these roles, they developed learning opportunities and publications to promote student, teacher, leader, and school efficacy. Aman also built partnerships and collaborations with education leaders, organizations, and networks.

From 2015 to 2017, Dhanda worked at the U.S. Department of Education. Aman was a Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary from August 2016 to January 2017, where they advised on classroom practice, teacher leadership, and educator engagement. Aman also served as a Teaching Ambassador Fellow from August 2015 to August 2016, directing the work and staff for Teach to Lead, organizing national teacher leadership summits, and contributing to the development of educational toolkits.

Dhanda's earlier experience includes working as an Elementary School Teacher at Woodland Joint Unified School District from August 2005 to July 2015.

From 2000 to 2006, Aman Dhanda attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Master's degree in Education.
