Rob Powelson

Rob Powelson is an experienced leader in the public utilities and water industry, currently serving as President & CEO of the National Association of Water Companies since August 2018, where Rob advocates for the private water sector in the United States. Powelson's prior roles include serving as Commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from August 2017 to August 2018, and as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission from July 2008 to July 2017, where Rob was nominated by two different governors and unanimously confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate. Earlier in their career, Powelson was President & CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry and Vice President of Government Affairs at the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Their educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Saint Joseph's University and multiple degrees in public finance and administration from the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.
