Martha Harbison

Martha Harbison has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Martha started their career at IBM as a Polymer Process Engineer from 1996 to 1998. Martha then pursued a graduate degree and worked as a Graduate Student at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research from 1998 to 2000. Following this, Martha worked as a Research Scientist at Triple-O Microscopy, Berlin from 2000 to 2002. Martha then ventured into the field of science editing, first as a Science Editor at Science Illustrated from 2008 to 2011, and then as a Senior Editor at Popular Science from 2003 to 2014. Most recently, Martha worked as a Content Editor at the National Audubon Society starting in 2014.

Martha Harbison obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Santa Clara University, where they studied from 1991 to 1996.
