Dr. Michael A. Georgiou

Dr. Michael A. Georgiou (Mertjianis) is a highly experienced database administrator currently serving as a Senior Database Administrator at the National Bank of Greece since June 2007, specializing in Oracle Database and Application Server administration, as well as advanced PLSQL and Java J2EE development. Previous professional roles include serving as a PLSQL trainer for Actina in 2014, and as a Database Administrator at NetU Group from June 2004 to June 2007. Dr. Georgiou began their career as a Computer Technician at Cyprus Import Corporation Ltd from January 1997 to September 2001. Academically, Dr. Georgiou holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Distributed Databases from Cyprus University of Technology, a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from European University Cyprus.
