Kristin Hamilton

Kristin Hamilton, Ph.D., NBCT, serves as the Vice President of Standards & Assessment at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards since October 2011, with a strong focus on strategic planning, partnership development, and oversight of impact studies and fundraising. Responsibilities have included leadership roles across multiple departments, standard revisions, and content development for an e-learning platform. Prior experience includes positions as Director of Standards, Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland, English Language Arts Teacher and Team Leader at Prince William County Public Schools, and NEA Teaching Fellow. Kristin holds a Ph.D. in Teacher Education and Professional Development, a Master of Library & Information Science, a Master of Education in Secondary English Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religious Studies from the University of Virginia.
