Rachel Poyatt Spassiani is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in managing internal and external communications across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at The National Center for Children and Families since June 2018, Rachel oversees digital media and social media channels. Previously, Rachel held multiple roles at the American Medical Writers Association, including Manager of Communications and Resources, and also worked at the University at Albany in various capacities related to publications and membership. Early career experience includes an Editorial Assistant position at Elsevier. Rachel holds a Master of Arts in History with a focus on Imperialism and Colonial Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The Catholic University of America.
