Peter Giddings is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the composites and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as Chief Engineer - Energy at the National Composites Centre since April 2014, Peter leads strategic initiatives focused on offshore wind, hydrogen distribution technology, and circular economy development. Notably, Peter executed a £37 million capital acquisition program that significantly advanced the Centre's R&D capabilities. Previous roles encompass leadership in Automated Fibre Placement research and innovative developments in composite materials at various organizations, including NAFEMS as Chairman of the Manufacturing Process Simulation Working Group. Peter's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Bath.
