Kraig Conrad, CAE, CTP has held numerous leadership roles throughout their career. Kraig currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) from 2015 to 2018, where they led the organization's strategic planning, advocacy, certification, and training efforts. Kraig also served as the Principal of Conrad Consulting in 2015.
Before joining NCMA and PRMIA, Kraig held positions with the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) from 2008 to 2015, where they served as Interim Co-CEO and VP, Programs and Development. At NIRI, they played a vital role in turning around the underperforming organization and had full P&L accountability for multiple lines of business.
Earlier in their career, Kraig worked at the Association for Financial Professionals from 2000 to 2007, where they served as the Director of Corporate Finance & Risk Management and Director of Strategic Alliances. Kraig managed education and training functions for the premier professional society focused on treasury and finance professionals around the world.
Prior to that, Kraig worked as a Financial Analyst at Credit Suisse from 1992 to 1995.
Throughout their career, Kraig has displayed strong leadership, strategic planning, and business development skills in various professional associations and financial institutions.
Kraig Conrad, CAE, CTP, completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at the University of Southern California from 1985 to 1990. Kraig then pursued further education and earned their Master's degree in Finance from the University of Illinois Chicago-College of Business Administration between 1996 and 1998. Apart from their academic achievements, Kraig Conrad also obtained additional certifications. Kraig became a Certified Association Executive (CAE) from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in June 2015, and they obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals in July 2003.
