Kevin Long is a Professor of Theatre at Harper College, where since August 2007, curriculum development and instruction have included a range of courses such as Acting I, Acting II, Musical Theatre, and Fundamentals of Speech Communication. Kevin successfully transitioned several courses to an online format in 2020, achieving significant student engagement and success. Additionally, as a First Folio Technique Teaching Artist at the Actors Training Center and Educator/Artist at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre since 2014, Kevin is recognized nationally for expertise in the language and theatre of William Shakespeare. Kevin co-authored the book "BRING ON THE BARD" with Mary Christel for the National Council of Teachers of English, which provides innovative drama techniques to enhance student interaction with Shakespeare's texts. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Speech and Performing Arts from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre/Acting from West Virginia University.
