Amanda Cullen is an Associate Professor at Illinois State University, where involvement began in August 2014. Previously served as an Assistant Professor of Middle School Mathematics Education. Additionally, Amanda holds the position of Associate Editor at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics for the publication Mathematics Teacher: Learning and Teaching PK-12 since July 2020. Prior editorial experience includes serving as an Assistant Editor for the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education from June 2013 to September 2015. Earlier roles include Research Assistant at Illinois State University from 2009 to 2013, Mathematics Educator at Richland Community College from 2006 to 2008, and Mathematics Teacher at Decatur Public Schools from 2004 to 2006. Amanda earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Illinois State University and holds an M.S. in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with middle school endorsements in English, Social Studies, and Mathematics from Millikin University.
