Jen Russell

Jen Russell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in knowledge management, digital engagement, and research. Currently serving as a Knowledge Management Officer at the National Defense University since January 2010, Jen established the institution's first Knowledge Management Program, focusing on governance and infrastructure. Previously, Jen held the role of Enterprise Digital Engagement Manager at NDU, leading policy and collaboration initiatives in digital communications. Prior to that, Jen was the Research Editor at Youth Today, overseeing multimedia content, and served as Research Director at the Journalism Center on Children and Families, where support was provided for enhancing media coverage of issues impacting disadvantaged youth. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Government Information Leadership from the National Defense University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Virginia Tech.
