Mpp Déjah Désirée Williams

Déjah Désirée Williams, MPP, serves as a Trainer at the National Democratic Training Committee since January 2021. Previously held the position of Senior Advisor at the Maryland Department of Labor from November 2023 to September 2024, where responsibilities included advising the Division of Labor & Industry Commissioner on political and legislative strategies. Williams was the Political and Legislative Director at the Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO from January 2022 to June 2023, focusing on relationship building with elected officials and collaborating with labor unions. As Chief of Staff for the Maryland General Assembly from January 2020 to January 2022, Williams contributed to the passage of significant legislation through policy analysis and strategic planning. Earlier roles include Community Engagement and Constituent Services Officer for Anne Arundel County Government and various positions in political campaigning and organizing. Williams holds a Master of Public Policy from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Texas A&M University.
