DeVaughn Skillern

DeVaughn Skillern has worked in the technology and web development industries since 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Frontend Web Developer at The Grandstaff Design Company, where they were responsible for account management, promoting and advertising, pricing quotes and sales, maintaining portfolios, and creating and providing logo designs. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Sales Administrator at PC Mall, where they developed and maintained high-profile customer accounts and contacted decision makers within companies to provide them with the computer products they need to operate their business. From 2009 to 2013, they held two positions simultaneously, working as a Webmaster/Sr. Graphic Designer at both Kelly's on Pico and Center Point Records. At both of these positions, they were responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing web pages, layouts, and graphics, as well as designing and developing navigation tools and making decisions regarding what content is included on a web page. Finally, from 2013 to the present, they have worked as a Front-End Developer and Marketing Manager at PaidYET, where they have designed and developed a payment application built from scratch on the Zend framework, created and overseen an extensive multimedia marketing plan, and managed a small marketing team.

DeVaughn Skillern attended Torrance High School from 2003 to 2007 and then California State University-Dominguez Hills from 2007 to 2011 where they obtained a degree in Computer Science with a field of study in Software Engineering. DeVaughn also holds certifications from LinkedIn in HTML Essential Training and Web Development Foundations: Web Technologies obtained in May 2019, as well as a Digital Analytics Fundamentals certification from Google obtained in October 2013.
