Mary Kylee Underwood

Mary Kylee Underwood is a seasoned Research Scientist at the National Energy Technology Laboratory, where research focuses on the effects of microwaves on catalytic mechanisms using ab initio simulations and the application of AI/ML methods for efficient materials discovery. Underwood has extensive experience managing diverse external R&D projects in geological carbon storage, exemplified by involvement in the National Risk Assessment Partnership, a notable initiative that won a 2017 R&D100 Award.
