Jesse C. Bliss, MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of public health. Starting in 2005, Jesse worked as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Dine' College where they taught courses on geographic information systems software. Jesse then joined Loma Linda University School of Public Health in 2006 as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Health & Health Geoinformatics Sciences and Global Health, and later became the Division Chief, Public Health Service and Community Development. They also served as the Director & Disaster Response Coordinator for Loma Linda University Center for Public Health Preparedness, where they led a team in developing and implementing emergency public health interventions and services. Additionally, Jesse worked as the Native American Health Liaison, focusing on building capacity in environmental health for Native American Tribes. In 2010, Jesse became the Assistant Dean for Public Health Practice at Loma Linda University School of Public Health. Jesse also worked at the University of Utah Health as a Research Associate and Emergency Public Health Research Manager, and as the Safety and Preparedness Officer in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Most recently, Jesse joined the National Environmental Health Association in 2019 as the Director of Program & Partnership Development Department.

Jesse C. Bliss, MPH has a diverse and extensive education history. They completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at La Sierra University from 1998 to 2003. Subsequently, they attended Loma Linda University from 2003 to 2005, obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in International Public Health/International Health. Along with their MPH, they also earned three graduate certificates during the same period: one in Humanitarian Assistance, one in Health Geoinformatics Sciences (GIS), and another one in International Health.

Furthermore, Jesse pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Health from the University of Utah School of Medicine, which they started in 2016 and are expected to complete in 2022.

Additionally, Jesse has obtained two certifications: one in Health Geoinformatics (GIS) and another in Humanitarian Assistance, both from Loma Linda University. These certifications were obtained in June 2005.
