Nick Perkins

Nick Perkins has extensive experience in the fire service, currently serving as Fire Chief at TCESD#2 and Advocate for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation since 2014. Additionally, Nick is an Instructor with Texas Rope Rescue, providing customized onsite rescue training, and has been an Adjunct Associate Professor at Austin Community College since 2017. Previous roles include Lead Instructor at LBJ Fire Academy, Staff Sergeant in the Texas State Guard, Fire Fighter/EMT at Hutto Fire Rescue, and EMT-Basic at Kendall County EMS. Nick holds a Master of Public Affairs in Public Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from Texas State University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fire Protection Technology from Austin Community College. Nick's foundational education includes training at San Antonio College and a High School Diploma from Tom C. Clark.
