Simon Carr Cbe Bsc Frics

Simon Carr CBE BSc (Hons) FRICS is an accomplished professional in the construction and building industry, currently serving as Non Executive Chairman of Northern Bear Plc since July 2024 and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Beverley Minster Old Fund since October 2022. With a long-standing role as Non Executive Chair and Director at ROAD LINK (A69) LIMITED since January 2010, Simon also holds the position of Independent Company Secretary and Director at the National Federation of Builders (NFB), where past leadership included the National Chair role focused on industry growth challenges. Their experience extends to being a Trustee of Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust from April 2018 to December 2023, and Simon has had a significant tenure as Managing Director at Henry Boot Construction from 1988 until December 2021. Educationally, Simon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Economics & Measurement from Aston University, earned between 1977 and 1981, and previously served as a Private Sector Board Member for the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership from December 2010 to October 2018.
