Jamie Taylor is a highly experienced professional in energy research and data science, currently serving as a Senior Energy Research Fellow and Senior Data Scientist at The University of Sheffield since July 2012. Jamie's work includes technical leadership on projects funded by industrial income, highlighted by involvement in the 'PV monitoring phase 3' project with National Grid and PV power forecasting. As a former Research Associate, Jamie contributed to the Sheffield Solar research group, focusing on solar PV performance across the UK and Europe, and produced significant research publications. In addition, as a Database Analyst/Programmer, Jamie administered the Microgen Database, facilitating data collection from PV installations and conducting analyses for academic and external purposes. Currently, Jamie holds a position as a Senior Data Scientist at National Grid ESO, enhancing electricity demand forecasting through innovative modeling methods. Jamie attained a Master of Physics degree from The University of Sheffield, furthering academic depth with foundational education from Woodlands School.
