Adam Smart

Adam Smart has extensive experience in the field of quantity surveying and commercial management, currently serving as the Commercial & Contract Manager at National Grid since June 2017. In this role, Adam leads a team of 10 Quantity Surveyors, overseeing the delivery of a Capital Delivery workbook across over 50 projects in the northern region while focusing on commercial efficiencies and contractor performance improvements. Prior to this, Adam held various positions at Pick Everard from August 2007 to June 2017, progressing from Assistant Quantity Surveyor to Senior Quantity Surveyor. Earlier experience includes a role as Site Engineer/Manager at Newline Civil Engineering Ltd. Adam's academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from Birmingham City University and a HNC in Civil Engineering from Nottingham College, complemented by an HND in Construction from Leicester College.
