Andrew Hordern

Andrew Hordern is a seasoned professional in regulatory policy and economic analysis, currently serving as Lead Analyst in Regulatory Policy & Strategy at National Grid since June 2022. In this role, Andrew focuses on key decarbonization priorities, notably developing a Tiered Discount system for low-income customers in Massachusetts. Prior to this, Andrew held the position of Vice Consul for Prosperity at the British Consulate-General in New York, where leadership was provided for the climate strategy ahead of COP26, along with founding the Mental Health Wellness Group to promote mental health awareness among staff. Experience includes roles as Regional Economist at IMA Asia, Senior Research Analyst at the Australian Embassy in Beijing, and Research Analyst at BIS Shrapnel, complemented by educational credentials from Macquarie University.
