Pieter Meyer

Pieter Meyer currently serves as Head of Department at both NHLS and NHLS/UP since December 2018, and also holds a joint appointment as Medical Laboratory Scientist at NHLS/UP since September 2014. Pieter has been a Senior Lecturer and Specialist at the University of Pretoria since January 2012, following a prior tenure as Medical Technologist at the same institution from 1989 to 2002. Pieter holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of Pretoria, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Immunology and two additional Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Immunology, as well as a Master of Technology in Biomedical Sciences from Tshwane University of Technology.
