Aliyyu AlBadawi - Gumi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information technology and project management. Currently serving as Deputy Director of Information Technology at the National Identity Management Commission since February 2015, Aliyyu oversees the National Identity Program. Previously, Aliyyu was involved in the World Bank Universal Access/Rural Telephony Programme as a project manager, leading the planning and implementation of projects that provided voice and data networks to rural communities. Aliyyu also held roles at MTN Nigeria, where responsibilities included change and problem management, and as a System Engineer and Project Team Lead at Techcentric LLC. Aliyyu began the career as a Computer Technician at CompUSA. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Data Governance and Cybersecurity from The University of Law, a Project Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Bayero University, Kano.
