Rui Prada

Visiting Associate Professor at National Institute of Informatics

Rui Prada is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of informatics and game design. Currently serving as a Visiting Associate Professor at the National Institute of Informatics since December 2020, Rui has also been an Associate Professor and previously an Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico since March 2006, teaching courses on User-Centered Design, Game Design and Development, Media Content Production, and Socially Intelligent Agents. As a Senior Researcher at INESC-ID since October 1998, Rui has contributed to the Intelligent Agents and Synthetic Characters Group (GAIPS). Additionally, Rui co-founded the Sociedade Portuguesa de Ciências dos Videojogos, serving as President and Vice President from March 2009 to April 2017. Rui holds a PhD from IST-UTL and a five-year degree in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico completed between 1994 and 1999.
