Shinsuke Miwa has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Shinsuke started their career in 1995 as a Member of the WIDE Project. Afterward, they worked as an Assistant at Hokkaido University from April 1999 to June 2001. In June 2001, they joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology as a Researcher, where they served until September 2008. During this time, they also held the position of Center Director of StarBED from April 2011 to March 2014. From November 2012 to March 2014, they were also a Director at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology. Shinsuke then continued working at the institute as a Senior Researcher until April 2021, when they assumed the role of Chief Senior Researcher of StarBED.
Shinsuke Miwa's education history begins in 1991 when they enrolled at Kanazawa University. Shinsuke pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and graduated in 1995. After completing their undergraduate studies, they joined the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1995. Miwa spent two years there and earned a Master's degree in Information Systems in 1997. Shinsuke continued their education at the same institute and obtained a Doctorate degree in Information Systems in 1999.
