Tamas Lukacsovich is a Senior Research Scientist at NICT since April 2023, focusing on neuronal networks and connectivity. Previously, Tamas served as a Senior Scientist at HIFO, UZH from May 2016 to May 2022, specializing in brain research and biotechnology. Tamas was the Head of the Molecular Biology laboratory at the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute from November 2015 to April 2016. A significant tenure as a researcher occurred at the University of California Irvine from July 2002 to October 2015, concentrating on genetic engineering and transgenic animal generation. Tamas has also held positions such as Visiting Professor at Waseda University, ERATO Researcher at Mitsubishi Casei Institute of Life Sciences, Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of South Carolina, and Researcher at the Biological Research Center. Tamas obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Jozsef Attila (1989-1993) and a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Eotvos Lorand (1976-1982).
