Misty Flowers

Misty Flowers has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and accounting. Misty began their career as an Import/Export Analyst at VF Imagewear in 2004. Misty then moved on to work as a Staff Accountant at Faulkner Mackie & Cochran PC from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Dollar General as a Senior Accountant, eventually becoming a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. Misty then transitioned to Nashville State Community College, where they worked as an Online Accounting Instructor from 2009 to 2011. Misty joined Vanderbilt University in 2014, initially serving as the Interim Director of Finance at Owen Graduate School and later as a Senior Accounting Manager at Provost Finance. Currently, Misty holds a prominent position at the National MS Society, where they serve as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Enterprise Analytics since August 2021. Misty previously held the titles of Associate Vice President of Strategic Finance and Director of Strategic Finance at the same organization.

Misty Flowers holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Belmont University - Jack C. Massey College of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Austin Peay State University. Misty also has additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) from Tennessee and as a Chartered Global Management Accountant from AICPA.
