Barbara Engelskirchen serves as the Chief Development Officer at the National Museum of Mexican Art since April 2014. With a robust background in marketing and development, Barbara has previously held roles such as Digital Manager at Advance Illinois, where responsibilities included managing a statewide communications campaign related to the Common Core State Standards. Additional experience includes freelance marketing consultancy, marketing management positions at SOLEX PARTNERS, the National Dairy Council, and Rand McNally, as well as early career roles within major brands like NESTLE and Sara Lee Corporation. Barbara holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Michigan and has completed various leadership and marketing programs, including the Civic Leadership Academy at the Harris School of Public Policy and the Museum Leadership Institute.
