Jack Lo Yu Tung

Neurosurgery Chief Resident at National Neuroscience Institute

Jack Lo Yu Tung is a clinician-scientist and research scholar with extensive experience in neurosurgery and neurotechnology. Currently serving as a Research Scholar at Rancho Research Institute, Inc. since July 2023, Jack is involved in researching functional ultrasound for neuroprosthesis control. As a Neurosurgery Senior Resident at the National Neuroscience Institute since July 2019, Jack treats patients with various brain and spinal conditions and aims to develop brain-controlled neuroprosthetic systems. Additionally, Jack holds the position of Adjunct Research Fellow at Duke-NUS Medical School, focusing on the development of implantable brain-computer interfaces and neuro-AI research. Previous experiences include a role as a Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where Jack conducted predictive data analysis, as well as previous positions at the National University Hospital, University College London, and Biopolis. Jack holds an MBBS and a B.Sc. in Medical Science with Neuroscience from University College London.
