Leslie Ishii

Leslie Ishii serves as the Artistic Director at Perseverance Theatre since October 2019 and has held the position of Board President at the Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists since November 2016, overseeing significant events such as the National Asian American Theater Conference & Festival. In addition, Leslie is a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Process for the National New Play Network, and the Founder/Director of the National Cultural Navigation Theatre Project. Leslie's academic contributions include roles as Guest Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and California State University-Los Angeles, along with experience as Lead Project Faculty at Center Theatre Group. Leslie has received extensive training with certifications from various leadership and voice work institutes, and holds an MFA in Acting from The A.C.T. Conservatory and dual Bachelor degrees from the University of Washington.
