Josh Gibson has a diverse work experience in the financial management field. Josh began working at the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2008 as a Budget Analyst for the Internal Revenue Service, where they were responsible for budgeting and financial transactions. Josh then served as a Budget Analyst for the Treasury Budget Office, where they advised leadership on budget issues and implemented treasury-wide sequestration. In 2014, they became a Budget Manager for the Financial Research Fund, overseeing financial functions and delivering presentations on the fund's budget. In 2019, they joined the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a Lead Designer, Application & Data Owner, and Project Manager for the Financial Management Data System (FMDS). This system automated NOAA's budget process by analyzing and visualizing financial and human resources data for senior leadership.
Josh Gibson completed their Data Analytics Certificate at Cornell University in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA with Honors in Finance from Oklahoma City University, graduating in 2007.
