Christa Cherava is a Senior Manager in Conservation Programs at the National Parks Conservation Association, with extensive experience in water, coastal resiliency, and geosciences issues. Christa has conducted research, addressed policy-related concerns, and developed geospatial StoryMaps to support various conservation initiatives. Previous roles include Conservation Programs Analyst, Clean Air & Climate Analyst, and Clean Air Program Coordinator, each contributing to water quality, wildlife management, and climate-friendly initiatives. Christa has also collaborated on paleontology research at Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument and held research positions at Michigan Technological University, earning a Master’s degree in Forest Resources & Environmental Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies.
