Andrew Hanson Mbe

Andrew Hanson MBE has extensive experience in science outreach and research, currently serving as Outreach Manager at NPLmanagement LTD/National Physical Laboratory since September 1986. In this role, Andrew facilitates engagement between Science and Engineering Ambassadors and educational institutions, as well as organizations like the Institute of Physics. Previously, Andrew managed the postgraduate experience and worked as a Senior Research Scientist, specializing in the measurement and specification of optical scales. Additionally, Andrew contributes as a STEM Ambassador, delivering science workshops and demonstrations. Past experience includes managing a rock band and serving as an Assistant Scientific Officer at the National Institute of Agricultural Botany. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) in Applied Physics with Electronics from Lancaster University.
