Paul Brewer has extensive work experience in the field of atmospheric metrology. Paul started their career at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) as a Research Scientist in 2000. Paul then held roles of increasing responsibility at NPL, including Higher Research Scientist, Senior Research Scientist, Principal Research Scientist, and Science Area Leader. In 2019, they were appointed as an NPL Fellow. In 2020, Brewer became the Head of Science - Atmospheric Metrology at NPL. Additionally, they have served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Bristol since 2018.
Paul Brewer completed their education with a Master's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton in 2000. Paul then pursued a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Imperial College London from 2002 to 2005. Recently, in 2019, they obtained an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from the City and Guilds of London Institute.
