Bill Grey

Bill Grey has a diverse work experience spanning several fields. Bill worked as a Director of Strategic Accounts and Public Safety Consultant at the National Public Safety Group from September 2021 to May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Real Estate Broker at Allen Tate Companies from 2020 to September 2021. Bill also had an extensive career with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, starting as a State Trooper in March 1991 and progressing to various leadership roles, including Colonel, Major - Director of Support Services, Captain - Assistant Director of Training, Lieutenant - Executive Officer of Special Operations Section, and District First Sergeant - Criminal Interdiction Unit. Their roles involved tasks such as deepening rapport with law enforcement associations, overseeing operations, leading teams, and liaising with external stakeholders. Prior to their law enforcement career, Bill served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1989.

Bill Grey's education history includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Guilford College. Bill also attended the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and National Executive Institute, without earning a degree. Additionally, they completed the Administrative Officer's Course at the Southern Police Institute as a Dean's Scholar. Bill later obtained a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia.
