Daniel Petre

Daniel Petre is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in founding and leading organizations in the technology and philanthropic sectors. As the Founder of StartGiving since December 2021, Daniel aims to inspire tech leaders to engage in philanthropy. Currently serving as a Board Member for the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation and Chairperson of the Board for Vera Living, Daniel also holds an adjunct professorship at the University of New South Wales, focusing on innovation and technology's impact on business. Previous roles include Chairperson of the Board at MetaOptima Technology Inc., Co-Founder and Partner Emeritus at AirTree Ventures, and Board Member for various organizations, including Oneview Healthcare and the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. Daniel's educational background includes degrees in Business, Finance, Management, and Computer Science from UNSW and the University of Sydney, complemented by certifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.
