Jeanine Soterwood

Jeanine Soterwood is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since July 2024, Jeanine previously held the position of Development Team Lead at thoughtbot, where responsibilities included managing support and maintenance teams while providing software development consulting. Prior to that, Jeanine was the Owner & Principal at Littleforest Consulting, LLC, focusing on web and mobile API application development for various small businesses and startups. Jeanine's background includes roles as an Analytics & Tools Developer at FriendFinder Networks, Inc., a Systems Engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems, and an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Arizona. Jeanine's academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona, and a BA in Mathematics and Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
