Justene Brys

Justene Brys is an accomplished event management professional with extensive experience in the retail industry, currently serving as the Director of Meetings and Special Events for the National Retail Federation since May 2014. Justene has successfully led large-scale events, including NRF Protect events, and demonstrated adaptability by transitioning to virtual formats during the pandemic, generating significant sponsorship revenue. Previous roles include event planner for TEDxTysons, private event coordinator and assistant at The Tower Club Tysons Corner, as well as committee member for the University of Iowa Dance Marathon. Justene holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Communication Studies and French from the University of Iowa.
