Stuart Owen

Stuart Owen has worked in finance and commercial management for over 15 years. Stuart started their career at Energy Developments in 2003, where they were responsible for reporting, budgeting and forecasting to the Board, financiers and executive management for the Australian operations. Stuart also provided financial and commercial advice to all areas of the business and managed the Australian accounting, procurement, accounts payable and administration functions. In 2008, they moved to Blue Energy Limited, where they took on the role of CFO / Company Secretary. In this role, they were responsible for managing all corporate financial functions of the Company and its subsidiaries, and developing policies and plans in cooperation with the Managing Director and Board. Stuart also provided financial and commercial advice to the Board and all areas of the Company, developed and implemented strategies to promote and improve the financial performance of the Company, coordinated audit activities and prepared presentations and analysis for ASX releases and analyst presentations. In addition to their financial responsibilities, they also managed the Company's secretarial duties, including preparation of board pack, minutes, AGM notice of meeting and other Company Secretarial related activities. In June 2014, Stuart Owen was appointed as Chief Financial Officer at National Storage Reit.

Stuart Owen has a background in accounting and economics, and has completed a Company Directors course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Stuart also holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Executive Business Operations) from Mt Eliza School of Business / The University of Queensland. In addition, they are a CPA from the Australian Society of CPA’s.
