John Avalos

John Avalos is currently working as the Executive Director at Council of Community Housing Organizations since March 2022. Prior to this, Avalos held positions such as Coordinator and Assistant Director Political and Community Organizing at National Union of Healthcare Workers, and Supervisory roles at City and County of San Francisco. Avalos has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Bay Area Air Quality Management District and ran as a Candidate for District 11 Supervisor in San Francisco. Avalos has a Master's degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
