Ali Hoban has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, Ali is working at the National Urban League as the Director of Health Equity & Policy, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to that, Ali served as the Program Manager of Health Equity & Policy at the same organization starting from April 2021.
Before joining the National Urban League, Ali worked at Student Sponsor Partners, where they held various roles. From January to August 2020, Ali served as the Managing Director of Programs, overseeing academic and mentoring services for over 1,000 students. They also managed a team of eight staff members and fostered relationships with partnering high schools. Prior to that, Ali was the Senior Director of Mentoring Systems & Analytics from October 2019 to January 2020, updating safety guidelines and managing the mentoring team. Additionally, Ali worked as a Nonprofit Consultant from December 2018 to October 2019.
Earlier in their career, Ali held the position of Operations Manager at Threes Brewing from October 2017 to October 2019. In this role, Ali managed various aspects of the brewery's operations, including human resources, business operations, social impact, and logistics.
Before Threes Brewing, Ali worked at AOL as a Project Manager on their corporate social responsibility team from October 2016 to October 2017. They were responsible for employee engagement and managing the AOL Charitable Foundation's grants management system.
Ali's career started at American Corporate Partners (ACP) in 2012, where they held multiple roles. As a Manager from December 2013 to October 2016, Ali built teams and programs to support veterans' career development. They also served as the Office Manager from April 2013 to October 2016, overseeing office logistics and managing the relocation of ACP's offices. In addition, Ali worked as an Operations Associate from July 2012 to November 2013, managing the Veteran Mentoring Program in Washington, D.C.
Ali's early work experience includes a role as a Latin American Research Intern at Covenant House from November 2010 to April 2011. In this position, they assisted in the development of a global child protection policy and facilitated communication between Covenant House's Latin American branches and the international headquarters in New York City.
Ali Hoban completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at Arcadia University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, Ali earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Foreign Language and Literature, with a focus on Spanish, from the University of Delaware.
