Maria Patrick is Media Director at the National Women’s Law Center, where she utilizes her extensive background as a documentary producer to highlight personal stories that humanize the Center’s signature issues. During her twenty-five year career in broadcasting, she produced long-form content for PBS, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, National Geographic, Discovery, and New York Times Television. Ms. Patrick covered a broad range of issues ranging from the economy to politics and public policy, from the legal arena to media and sports, and from religion and ethics to history and culture. In 2009 she developed and launched a weekly series on WNET—“It’s the Economy”—that featured the widespread economic reverberations of the recession in New York City. As Executive Producer of the public television program “In the Life,” she initiated several interactive online components that dramatically increased traffic to the website and boosted overall viewership. Ms. Patrick, the recipient of three national Emmys, is a graduate of Smith College.
