Jason Searle

Jason Searle is a staff attorney at the Native American Rights Fund, focusing on high-profile litigation and advocacy for tribal existence, self-determination, and Indigenous rights since August 2022. Previously, Searle served as a senior attorney in the Litigation Unit of the Navajo Nation Department of Justice, where responsibilities included independent case handling from August 2018 to August 2022. Additional experience includes roles as an attorney involving trial and appellate litigation, a faculty research assistant at the University of Michigan Law School, and a notes editor for the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law. Searle's legal career also features clerkships with the Native American Rights Fund and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Tribal Court. Searle holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University.
