Kristen Carvaines

Kristen Carvaines has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Most recently, they held the position of Director - Project Management Office at National Interstate Insurance Company since June 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Penn State University from July 2017 to June 2019.

Kristen also has experience working at Case Western Reserve University as the Manager of Process Improvement from October 2009 to January 2017. Before that, they were a Technical Writer at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Contract) from April 2006 to October 2009.

Kristen began their career at The J.M. Smucker Company, where they served as the Label and Advertising Review Analyst / Intellectual Property and Regulatory Paralegal from April 2002 to April 2005. Prior to that, they worked at DotCom Technologies as a Sr. Product Support Analyst from September 2000 to January 2001.

Kristen's early career includes a role as a Senior Operations Analyst at Roadway Express / Caliber Technologies from April 1994 to October 2000.

Kristen Carvaines completed a Bachelor's degree in English at The University of Akron from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they also obtained an Associate's degree in Legal Assisting from The University of Akron between 1993 and 1995. In addition to their formal education, Kristen Carvaines has obtained several certifications. Kristen obtained the Prosci Change Management certification from Prosci ANZ in June 2018. In November 2013, they earned the Enterprise Architecture certification from the Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (EACOE) - Miami University. In May 2013, Kristen Carvaines completed the Women in Leadership certification from Case Western Reserve University. Kristen has also achieved the Six Sigma Black Belt certification in April 2012. Finally, Kristen Carvaines has the ITIL Foundations 2011 in IT Service Management certification.
