Kristin Wilson-Palmer

Kristin Wilson-Palmer currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since September 2023. Previously, Kristin held the position of Senior Vice President of Financial Communications at Edelman from 2021 to 2023 and was a Principal Consultant at The Alanthus Group in 2020. Kristin's extensive experience also includes serving as SVP/Chief Communications Officer at the Insurance Information Institute (2017-2019), Vice President of Media Relations at AARP (2012-2017), and Director of Public Affairs at Child Care Aware of America (2009-2012). Other notable roles include Senior Manager at the City of Atlanta (2007-2009), Communications Manager at the National Association of Black Journalists (2006-2007), Associate at America’s Public Television Stations (2004-2006), and Public Affairs Account Executive at Brodeur Partners (2002-2004). Kristin holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from James Madison University (1998-2002) and completed postgraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University (2004-2005).
