Kevin Holston

Kevin Holston is an experienced professional in the field of bioinformatics and genetics, currently serving as Group Leader and Curator at Naturhistoriska riksmuseet since 2003. Holston’s work involves leading a department focused on bioinformatics and genetics while also contributing as a postdoctoral researcher and NSF-International Research Fellow, specializing in the taxonomic revision of European Thereva species. Additionally, Holston has been part of GBIF: The Global Biodiversity Information Facility since June 2020, previously holding positions related to data management from 2007 to 2010. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Entomology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, alongside a B.Sc. in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
