Kent von Maubeuge has extensive work experience in the field of geosynthetics. Kent began their career at Hoechst AG as a Geosynthetic Researcher from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they worked at NAUE Group, starting in 1991, where they held multiple roles including Director of Corporate Identity and Communications & Senior Product Manager for GCLs. In 1995, they became the Chairman of the GCL Group at ASTM D35.04. Kent also served as a Convenor of WG6 (Barrier Systems) at CEN TC189 (Geosynthetics) from 1998 onwards. Additionally, they were a Lecturer of Geosynthetics at the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe from 1998 and at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld from 2013. Kent von Maubeuge was also involved in the Geosynthetic Institute as a Board of Advisor from 1999. Lastly, they were a Council Member of the International Geosynthetics Society from 2012 to 2020. Prior to these positions, they worked as a Consulting Engineer at Steinbacher in Germany in 1986.
Kent von Maubeuge attended the University of Augsburg from 1981 to 1985, where they received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Civil Engineering.
