Shawn Marston

Shawn Marston has over 28 years of experience in Human Resources, starting with a role as a Human Resources Specialist at Dalkon Shield Claimants Trust in 1992. Shawn then moved on to become the Chief Operations Officer at Southeastern Virginia Health System in 1994. In 1996, they took on the role of Director of Human Resources and General Affairs at McCord Consumer Direct d/b/a A Better Airfare. From 2003 to 2008, Marston worked as a Human Resources Consultant at HR Concepts. In 2013, they became the Head of Human Resources at Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC). Shawn then moved on to become the Director of Human Resources at Newport News Behavioral Health Center in 2014. In 2019, Marston took on the role of Human Resources Administrator at Fulcrum Concepts LLC. In 2020, they became a Human Resources Generalist at City of Newport News. Currently, they are the Site Human Resources Manager at Navien, Inc., where they are responsible for a wide variety of human resources activities.

Shawn Marston completed their Masters in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University in 1996 with a concentration in Human Resource Development and a GPA of 3.92. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelors in Psychology from Christopher Newport University in 1985.
