Debra Court

Debra Court has over 23 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Debra currently holds the position of VP, Strategy & Performance at Navigator Healthcare Inc., a payer-services company focused on substance use disorder treatment. In this role, Debra is responsible for providing web-based and telephonic education on treatment standards and best practices, as well as assisting individuals, families, and health practitioners in accessing high-quality treatment services.

Prior to their current role, Debra worked at UnitedHealth Group | Optum for over 20 years. During their tenure, they held various leadership positions, including Director of Provider Communications and Manager of Provider Communications. In these roles, they oversaw the development and delivery of provider-facing communications, marketing, and training. Debra also implemented processes and systems to improve information delivery and education to internal staff and the provider network, and led rebranding efforts for the behavioral health network.

Additionally, Debra established and formalized the communications role for the provider network, automated manual processes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency, and successfully led the growth of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) network. Debra also managed the setup, delivery, and reporting of in-person Continuing Education Unit (CEU) professional workshops offered nationally to the provider network, and developed content and collateral materials for these workshops.

Overall, Debra Court has demonstrated a strong track record of leadership and expertise in healthcare communication, marketing, and education, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and promoting high-quality care.

Debra Court has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Trinity University. In addition to their formal education, they have recently obtained a certification in "Grit: How Teams Persevere to Accomplish Great Goals" from LinkedIn in January 2020.
