Rahul Somavanshi

Rahul Somavanshi is a Principal R Programmer at Navitas Life Sciences, specializing in real-world data and evidence analytics, particularly in oncology, since June 2023. Previously, Rahul served as a Research Scientist in Data Science and Digitalization at Chr. Hansen and as a Research Investigator at Syngene International Limited. Prior academic experience includes postdoctoral research at Stockholm University and the University of Washington, focusing on proteomics, RNA-seq data analysis, and establishing next-generation sequencing pipelines. Rahul completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Systems Biology at Heidelberg University and held the position of Junior Research Fellow at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, where mathematical modeling of bacterial populations and gene expression analysis were key responsibilities. Academic qualifications also include a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, with initial education at Fergusson College. Proficient in R and various analytical tools, Rahul has a strong foundation in data visualization and computational biology.
