Melissa Kimmerling, EdD, MOT, OTR/L, currently serves as the Program Director for Occupational Therapy at Nebraska Methodist College since August 2015. Kimmerling has been the Nebraska Ambassador to the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) since February 2022 and holds the position of Vice President of Policy and Advocacy with the Nebraska Occupational Therapy Association since July 2019. Additionally, Kimmerling has worked as an Occupational Therapist at Snyder Charleson Therapy Services since July 2014, and previously served as the Nebraska Representative for THE AMERICAN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION, INC from July 2016 to July 2019. Kimmerling's earlier experience includes working as an Occupational Therapist at Nebraska Methodist Health System from July 2007 to July 2014 and as an instructor at the College of Saint Mary from July 2011 to June 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences from the College of Saint Mary and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the same institution.
